Picking Outdoor Garden Benches
Picking Outdoor Garden Benches
Firstly, it is never a good idea to pick a soft wood. Go for hardwood every time if you are in the market for a wooden garden bench. They will last ten times as long, need next to no maintenance and will therefore make significant savings in the long run.
Our other options are for aluminum or even cast iron garden benches. Cast iron, or at least the frame, will mean that the outdoor garden bench will be extremely sturdy and will withstand high winds. Plus it give a look and feel of exceptional quality as well. A great choice for anyone looking for a nice traditional feel to their outdoor spaces.
Other Garden Bench Options
Wicker, or Rattan garden benches are also increasing in popularity of late. They are available in varying colors as well as a number of very impressive designs. From traditional to fairly modern, there are countless variations to choose from.
The modern designs look stunning in the right setting so choose carefully and think about just what the style of your outdoor space is and whether or not it will look right.
Many gardens and patios simply do not suit very modern pieces so be sure to choose always thinking about how the garden bench will look in its final site. These few simple options should easily help you to choose the right product and to ensure that what you do buy will look and feel right for the type of space that you have available.

1. Set a budget: Outdoor furniture can cost anywhere between a few hundred to thousands of dollars. To make the most effective purchase, set a budget before you open a furniture catalog.
2. Decide the purpose of your garden furniture: If you expect to entertain a lot of guests, you may need to set up a dining set complete with a table and chairs. Conversely, if your garden is going to be used chiefly as a place to unwind on your own, a Swing hammock set up at special ‘thought-spots' may serve the purpose. If you are the kind who hosts parties often, a party gazebo or a party tent would be a great investment and an excellent style statement. Sunbed cushions and deck chairs are ideal to soak up the sun while wicker garden furniture is perfect for an outdoor family room setting. Whatever be your needs, decide the main utility of your garden before you visit a home improvement store.
3. Decide where your furniture will be placed: Assess the terrain of your garden. If it is uneven, you should go in for furniture that stands firm. You may also want lighter furniture for softer spots. Also, if your garden is prone to a lot of sunlight, investing in a good, fade-resistant parasol should be a priority. Then again, if your garden is very close to your home, the styling of the two should complement. You may experiment with a radically different design or a themed garden if it is at a distance from the main homestead.

Re: Picking Outdoor Garden Benches
You have three basic choices of materials when choosing your patio furniture: Plastic (PVC or Resin), Metal (Iron) and Wood.
1. Plastic (PVC or Resin) Patio Furniture
This type of patio furniture is 100% weather-resistant. Resin-based patio furniture is cool to the touch in hot weather. Not all PVC products are. Resin patio furniture can be molded to resemble wicker or wood. PVC looks like plumbing pipe.
2. Wood Patio Furniture
Wooden furnitures are usually not suitable as Garden furniture as it can rot or get infested by termites. There are 3 main woods that can be used as garden furniture, they are Teak, Red wood and Pressure-treated Lumber.
3. Metal Patio Furniture
They are usually made of iron. The furniture can be hard to move, can be subject to rust, it can get hot to touch in warm weather and the surface needs repainting if there is any damage.

Hello Garden arbors are structures that can serve several purposes. They can double as a trellis or you can have them with flower boxes on the sides to plant flowers in. Garden arbors can define pathways and different sections of the garden. You should be able to find arbors with seating in them for a relaxing spot to sit in during a long day of working out in your garden.
After planting, weeding, and watering it is great to have a place to sit and relax and enjoy all the work you have done to your garden. Homeowners and gardeners alike are introducing garden arbors and garden benches into their outdoor living spaces. It is nice to have a different area to spend some time in besides the inside of the home. Outdoor structures and furniture make this not only possible but comfortable also. Most arbors are constructed of wood, metal, or plastic.

Re: Picking Outdoor Garden Benches
Hello Tip number one when it comes to buying your wicker outdoor furniture is to make sure you do your research. A little research never hurts anybody and you’ll be glad you made time for it when you have to purchase your patio furniture, a patio umbrella and patio cushion because choosing from such a wide selection is not always an easy task to do. Look around and search online for what type of furniture material is available, how they are produced and what material is used to produce them, how and where they are manufactured, compare prices, the works. A good and thorough research will be a big help, so you know you won’t get cheated when the time comes for you to make your big purchases.
Tip number two is to make sure you set a sizeable budget aside, because you need to be prepared to invest in good quality wicker outdoor furniture. The price may be a bit off-putting for some of it, especially when you have to buy a lot of items like patio furniture, a patio umbrella and patio cushion, but try not to be thrown off by it. True it can be a little expensive and you could probably get something cheaper, but investing in good quality furniture will last you a lifetime. Not to mention that they are bound to be more comfortable and look much better because they would be made of high quality material.

Re: Picking Outdoor Garden Benches
Hello Garden swing seats work well with different types of decor. For example, consider a tropical design for your garden. Of course the plants won’t work in every part of the country. However, bringing in a garden swing seat is a funky way to add more seating to your yard. You can hang a series of hammock swings or you can also find a basket hammock swing to hang in the yard. These are very unusual and most of your neighbors probably won’t have one . You just want to make sure that you obey all weight restrictions with smaller swing seats, if you choose those.
The classic garden swing seat has a country feel. It is just made out of wood slats. You can use a series of blue stains or white washing techniques to really give it more of a weathered appearance. This adds instant charm to your porch. You can create an instant getaway in your home and also at the same time just give a little bit of character to a generic patio or front porch with one of these swing seats. Even though this is a kind of a shabby chic look, it does seem a lot more high end than your basic aluminum metal garden swing.
Thanks
