Re: Amitabh Bachchan (Big B)
Hello friends
Yesterday was as packed as one would have imagined. The morning spent on a delayed flight out of Mumbai and a delayed drive to Sopaan due to traffic ; Commonwealth Games around the corner and all the constructions and roads and fly overs being built. It was an immediate turn around back to Noida and the TV 18 set up with Rajdeep Sardesai and IBN 7 and CNN IBN. TV operations are massive and an administrative night mare, not to mention all the journalist woes of speed and collection of news and facts to put it out as soon as possible before the competition takes over. Editorial meets for both English and Hindi were conducted in the editorial room and what to project and which to give preference was decided in a most serious and meaningful manner. All final decisions resting with the man of the moment .. yours truly … a negotiated moment for the promotion activity of RANN. Getting on to the same platform from where all the broadcasts take place and interviewing Rajdeep was an interesting act, albeit a bit rushed I thought. So many questions that came to mind, came to mind after I had left the studios. Ha ! But a huge amount of respect for the medium and its working and of course the fact that there are so many young and bright individuals working round the clock so that all the material gathered from various corners of the world gets to the viewer in time, in tact and in a form never seen by any other channel. And just as it had all started it all came to an end amidst heavy crowds belonging to the respective departments of the facility clamoring for a piece of the face or the hand or the written hand. Very impressive and invigorating. An entire education on the TV medium.
Thanks to all friends..............

Re: Amitabh Bachchan (Big B)
Hello I think he is the king of the Bollywood film industry. Amitabh Bachchan (Hindi: अमिताभ बच्चन, pronounced [əmɪˈtaːbʱ ˈbətːʃən], born Amitabh Harivansh Bachchan on 11 October 1942), is an Indian film actor. He first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Bollywood cinema, and has since become one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema.[1][2]
Bachchan has won numerous major awards in his career, including three National Film Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards. He holds the record for most number of Best Actor nominations at the Filmfare Awards. In addition to acting, Bachchan has worked as a playback singer, film producer and television presenter, and was an elected member of the Indian Parliament from 1984 to 1987.
