1. Remember its important that you look your best as the bride will have done everything in her power to have done so. 2. Whatever you choose to wear you need to be comfortable. 3. Go to several shops and try on the outfits. 4.If your hiring an outfit check that it is available in stock. 5. Before you hire the outfit make sure you read carefully the terms and conditions of the hire agreement before you sign on the dotted line and take out an outfit. 6. If the shop offers accidental damage cover on all wedding attire then take it, otherwise you will only regret it if anything should happen to the outfit on the day.

Re: best wear for groom ??
Hello Friends, The bridal gown is always a hot topic of discussion surrounding a wedding regarding its colour, length, style, accessories etc but what about the groom? For many men this may be the first (and last) time that they would be required to wear a formal suit, so how would we expect them to know which fit and cut of suit would best suit their body type? Most men will be sent off by their bride-to-be to the nearest bridal shop or tailors with instructions on the colour of the suit only (to match the brides colour scheme of course). For those men out there who don’t want to aimlessly wonder through the store not knowing which type of suit is best suited to them there are a few simple rules to follow, and some to avoid for each body shape. Thanks.

Hi
If the wedding service is more traditional, a suit of clothes is the bare minimum to consider if one is standing for the groom. Normally, the bride and groom decide on a colour scheme with regards to the shirts and/or ties and so black is the preferred colour for the suit or tuxedo.
A great option for many men who do not normally attend formal affairs is to go, as a group, to a men's outfitter and purchase the same suit, having it altered to them personally. This is superior in many ways to a tuxedo in that the groomsmen may keep the suit after the wedding, and the fit will likely be far superior to that of a rental garment. That being said, the option of a tuxedo rental is still on the table and may be preferable for some who do not wish to purchase a suit.
If the wedding is a bit more casual, it is still recommended that the groom be wearing a full suit at the very least – though a tie may be optional. The groomsmen should invest in dress slacks and sport shirts – even guests should make an attempt to wear a nice shirt, sweater, and pants in respect of the wedding service itself. Dress denim may be worn, but leave your work or day jeans at home alongside the t-shirt!
Thanks

Thanks for all the suggestions! We don't really have a theme as the wedding is going to be quite small.

Re: best wear for groom ??
Hello The groom should select his formal wear based on the formality of the wedding. For a semi-formal or formal wedding, the groom will need a tuxedo. A tuxedo is the formal jacket worn by men on special or formal occasions. The most popular colors are black, white, and gray. Options: Use the following guidelines to select customary attire for the groom:
Things to Consider: In selecting your formal wear, keep in mind the formality of your wedding, the time of day, and the bride's gown. Consider darker colors for a fall or winter wedding and lighter colors for a spring or summer wedding. When selecting a place to rent your tuxedo, check the reputation of the shop. Make sure they have a wide variety of makes and styles to choose from. Reserve tuxedos for yourself and your ushers several weeks before the wedding to insure a wide selection and to allow enough time for alterations. Plan to pick up the tuxedos a few days before the wedding to allow time for last minute alterations in case they don't fit properly. Out-of-town men in your wedding party can be sized at any tuxedo shop. They can send their measurements to you or directly to the shop where you are going to rent your tuxedos. Ask about the store's return policy and be sure you delegate to the appropriate person (usually your best man) the responsibility of returning all tuxedos within he time alotted. Ushers customarily pay for their own tuxedos.

Hi
Both the traditionally formal wedding and a less restrictive ceremony have their merits and both are extremely popular options being taken advantage of by contemporary newlyweds.
