Re: Travel To Bhopal
Hi
Bhopal, the city of lakes , is a fascinating amalgam of scenic beauty, old historic city and modern urban planning. It is situated on the 11 th century city, Bhojapal, founded by Raja Bhoja but the present city was established by an Afghan soldier, Dost Mohammed(1707-1740). His progeny ruled Bhopal until 1947 when the state finally joined the Indian Union.Old Bhopal still bears the aristocratic imprint of its former rulers. Four generations of powerful enlightened Begums who ruled Bhopal from 1819 to 1926.
Now, the city is the capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh. The city of Bhopal is quite a pleasant place to spend some time. It has great parks, excellent upper and lower lakes and a beautiful pink mosque, the Taj-ul Masjid. if you have some extra time to spend, visit the Birla Museum, the Tagore Memorial and the National archives. A bustling city where you can enjoy the charm of a small town and the hustle and bustle of a big city.
Thanks
