Ah, to laze away the days on a perfect beach with a perfect companion. I'm talking about New Zealand's Bay of Islands, just about three hours by road from Auckland, one of the first places I went to on my very first visit to New Zealand. The Bay of Islands is a necklace of coastal townships nearly encircling a bay with close to 150 islands, many virtually untouched by civilisation.
