Re: Social Shopping
Hi
I've written about various breeds of social shopping in the past, so I decided to give some thought into a categorization with examples. Below I've listed the different types of social shopping I've observed and some companies that support them.
Comments and Ratings -- Commenting on products has been around almost as long as e-commerce. Two popular players in this space are BazaarVoice and PowerReviews. Most shoppers prefer relying on peer reviews rather than retailer descriptions, so the influence over sales is very strong.
f-commerce -- A new term that was sure to rear its ugly head when retailers started allowing shopping on Facebook, And its all Elastic Path and Alvenda's fault!
Co-shopping -- Retailers like Wet Seal are enabling multiple people to shop together online. This is particularly applicable to fashion, where the real-time exchange of opinions is important. I actually tried this with a co-worker and its pretty cool.
Bragging -- Blippy is Twitter for shoppers, allowing purchases to be "tweeted" so you can keep up with your friends. I get alerted when friends download music or apps from iTunes because chances are I'll be interested as well. This covert influence is one-up'ed by Snatter, a service that gives people discounts for tweeting or posting promotions from retailers. This is the petri dish of viral marketing.
Thanks
Advice -- Combine the bragging of Blippy and the opinions from BazaarVoice and you'd get ShopSocially, a social network dedicated to spreading product knowledge amongst informed shoppers.

Baby Clothes - Comfort Is Paramount
Touch is the first sense that a baby uses to interpret the world - and therefore the tactile quality of baby clothes will have a considerable impact on your baby’s experience, which means that unlike adult clothes were comfort can often be at the expense of high style, with baby clothes comfort really is paramount.
The biggest determining factor of comfort with baby clothes is quite obviously the materials that make up the baby outfit, and with this in mind, natural materials such as cotton are still the most comfortable even though synthetic materials are getting evermore closer to the tactile experience of natural materials.
Whilst natural materials go some way to ensuring the comfort of your little one, a baby will only be truly comfortable if their baby clothes fit properly! There might be a tendency to think of babies as all the same size but this isn’t the case! You should endeavour to buy clothes and baby booties that fit your baby properly.
A baby or small child will be most susceptible to discomfort in baby booties and clothes when they are in bed, and therefore it is especially important that sleepwear is made for comfort – remember, a baby cares far more about comfort than style.
By ensuring that your baby sleeps and plays in comfort, it is far less likely that your little one will be distressed or have their sleep disturbed – ensuring a happy time for you and your baby!

Re: Social Shopping
Hey Friend
Social Shopping is a method of e-commerce where shoppers' friends become involved in the shopping experience. Social shopping attempts use technology to mimic the social interactions found in physical malls and stores. Social shopping can also exist in the real-world beyond the obvious swapping of consumer stories with people one knows. For example, when you walk into a dressing room, the mirror reflects your image, but you also see images of the apparel item and celebrities wearing it on an interactive display. The success of social shopping as a business model is still to be proven, although it is a common theme for many start up.
Have a good Day Dear Friends

Re: Social Shopping
Hi
Social shopping sites motivate their users to participate in various ways. Many sites offer nothing of specific value in return, relying on the user's intrinsic sense of social reward to share information with the community. Other sites offer tangible rewards for sharing information. For example, the Canadian based Wishabi offer cash rewards for price submission[3], and other sites offer incentives in the form of reputations points that can be redeemed for gifts. Social shopping can also exist in the real-world beyond the obvious swapping of consumer stories with people one knows. For example, when you walk into a dressing room, the mirror reflects your image, but you also see images of the apparel item and celebrities wearing it on an interactive display.

Re: Social Shopping
Hi
Using the wisdom of crowds, users communicate and aggregate information about products, prices, and deals. Many sites allow users to create custom shopping lists and share them with friends. To date, fashion communities such as Kaboodle, Stylefeeder, and Polyvore have largely dominated this space. Yet, shopping communities are not limited exclusively to fashion. Other shopping communities include Listia, an online community for free stuff and Shiny Orb, an online wedding apparel community. Activity-based clubs (such as travel or adventure-sports clubs) are the in-person analogy for this category of social shopping.
Thanks
