Post Types Of Coffee Tables
Coffee tables are available in various shapes, sizes, colors and materials. Popular traditional materials include glass, metal and wood while contemporary and modern pieces might be produced of steel or molded plastic. Most coffee tables are long and rectangular although any shape is popular. If your room is small and arranged as a "conversation pit," for instance, a round or triangular table might be more efficient.

Metal Coffee Table
These coffee tables are made of wrought iron, bronze or copper. They give a contemporary look and are often outfitted with glass tops. (Some metal tables have the added flexibility to expand or even to fold up.)
Glass Coffee Table
Glass coffee tables are ideal for places like reception areas or lobbies. They allow the carpet and flooring to remain visible and when outfitted with a lower shelf can serve as a protective showcase for art objects. Though glass coffee tables look striking, they are breakable and may not be advisable for home with small children.
Wooden Coffee Table
Classic wooden tables provides warmth and are sturdy pieces that will serve you for a long time. Popular woods include teak, mahogany, cedar, oak, and hard maple. These tables tend to compliment more traditional and informal rooms and are often cabinet pieces with spaces for storing magazines or items like photo albums.
Contemporary Coffee Table
Contemporary coffee tables are usually modular in appearance with sleek, minimalist lines. They might be crafted from marble, molded plastic, ceramic tiles, natural stones or various stylish and high end metals like brushed aluminum or chrome.
Geometric Shaped Coffee Tables
Tables configured in a unique geometric shape such as a triangle or a polygon work best in modern rooms or those that employ retro styles from the 1950s and 1960s when geometric pieces of all kinds were in vogue. The basic concept when selecting a unique shape for a coffee table is that it balances the look of the room and does not clash with the other pieces of furniture.

Hi

First of all, how do you define a coffee table and what makes it different from any other? It may seem an obvious question but it's worth briefly going over anyway. These kind of tables are usually quite small, rectangular and low to the ground and are usually used for holding cups, magazines and other things that are often wanted regularly. They are usually found inthe living room but of course you can have them wherever you want!

Glass coffee tables can be stunning additions to your living room but they are also very delicate! That means they probably aren't the best kind of table if you have small children for obvious reasons. If you don't have kids or they are grown up now then a glass table will always look great provided you keep it clean and shining.

Glass tables are often a bit more expensive but you can pick one up for only a couple of hundred dollars upwards, and they also come in many shapes and sizes.

The last thing you want is a poor child falling through though, so make sure any children that visit the house are well aware of the table and aren't allowed to play around it!

Thanks

Coffee tables come in a lot of different shapes and sizes. You can check them all out on websites that will give you detailed information about the price and design of the coffee table.2 type of table are :
White coffee table:-A white coffee table will create a real sense of brightness in your living room. This has many benefits. For one, it will make the room look bigger as light colors and brightness create a sense of space as opposed to dark colors.
Black glass coffee table:-Black is always classy and never goes out of style. I would choose a black glass coffee table, if you want a more elegant look to your living room. Same as with white, black goes with pretty much all colors.
there is a lot more to find with a little time and research on the internet. Study all the different types available, and find the perfect coffee table for your living room.

Modern apartments might house glass coffee tables whilst the older house may house oak coffee tables. They could be round, black, with a lift top, modern, wooden or any number of variations. When you think about it, they truly are a special piece of furniture that can really make a different to how your room looks and functions.

The fascinating thing about coffee tables is the amount of creativity they inspire in furniture designers, and it is with this focus on design, a love of coffee and generally sitting around putting my feet up that has lead me to set up this site. Coffee Tables Site is a website dedicated to the design geniuses who sweat over a blank piece of paper, a cup of coffee in their favorite mug and a design inspiration from any number of places. Glass coffee tables can be stunning additions to your living room but they are also very delicate! That means they probably aren't the best kind of table if you have small children for obvious reasons. If you don't have kids or they are grown up now then a glass table will always look great provided you keep it clean and shining.

Hi

Every fan of the show "Seinfeld" will remember the episode where Kramer decided to write a coffee table book about coffee tables. The fact that a whole type of literature is devoted to the coffee table shows just how popular this piece of furniture is.

A coffee table is the practical place for someone to place their drinks. Anyone who has been in a living room where there was no coffee table realizes the importance of the coffee table.

A coffee table can be placed in front of a sofa. A smaller coffee table, or what some refer to as an end table, is usually located next to chairs or on the ends of a sofa.

A coffee table will reflect the owner's style of decoration. The traditional coffee table is rectangular, with four legs and sits about two feet from the ground. Traditional end tables are more square, but some stores offer low costs end tables that are round in shape and are covered in a cloth.

Many coffee tables are made of wood. You find these traditional coffee tables in many homes. Some of these coffee tables have variations and some will include ornamentation either on the legs or the corners. Some coffee tables will have drawers for storing, while other coffee tables will have a shelf underneath the table to hold magazines, books, children's toys or the television remote.

Some coffee tables are more "art deco." These coffee tables are often made of other materials such as metal and may be in different shapes such as round or oval. Some coffee tables have a plate of glass inside its structure. One type of coffee table recently featured on an online auction site is made entirely of glass.

Many craftsmen make coffee tables in their shops from wood or metal. Arts and crafts shows across the nation feature the hand-made items.

While the traditional coffee table is still found in many homes, there are many unusual types of coffee tables. One online auction company recently featured an inflatable Dallas Cowboys coffee table. Another coffee table was an aquarium, featuring fish swimming in the tank with a top perfect for holding drinks.

You can purchase a coffee table in a set or alone. A coffee table set will have the traditional coffee table that sits in front of a sofa or couch and two end tables.

Online auction sites feature several versions of the coffee table at a variety of prices. While furniture stores carry an assortment of coffee tables, many discount retailers offer coffee tables. Some of these coffee tables require assembly and often are not made of a durable wood or metal. However, these coffee tables are great for people on a budget such as college students.

Whatever your style, budget or taste is, a local retailer, online auction or furniture store is certain to have a coffee table to meet your needs, whether it is exotic, traditional or ornamental. The centerpiece to your living room is the coffee table.

Thanks
