Intruder Alarm Monitoring
Alarm devices will detect the activity of intruders. In the event of an alarm device being activated a number of events take place:- Non - Policed Systems
A full alarm condition is generated, either immediately or after a specified delay, with the siren creating 110 decibels of sound and the strobe light flashing.
An alarm signal is sent via the signalling device to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)
Upon receipt of the alarm signal the operator at the Alarm Receiving Centre will follow an agreed response plan and contact Key-holders accordingly.

Re: Intruder Alarm Monitoring
Alarm monitoring service ensures that your intruder alarm won't be ignored. This is because you're connected to our NACCOSS approved Alarm Receiving Centre via your phone line, giving you added security, 24 hours a day. What's more, you're not just protected from burglars; we also help you obtain emergency support when faced with a fire or if you need the assistance of a key holder.

Re: Intruder Alarm Monitoring
Monitoring companies use special phone lines, computers and trained staff to watch over a home security system and call the appropriate authorities if the alarm goes off. There is a monthly fee for the service. Because quality and experience can vary greatly among monitoring companies, do some homework before choosing one. #
Contact the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association. Ask them to provide you with a copy of the brochure "Safe and Sound: Your Guide to Home Security," and ask for a list of member companies in your area. # Step 2
Read the brochure and familiarize yourself with some basics about home security and terms used by the industry. Visit security Web sites for more information. # Step 3
Ask your insurance agent, friends and neighbors for referrals. # Step 4
Call several companies on the list that the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association provides as well as the companies recommended by your insurance agent, friends and neighbors. Ask if their employees are trained and certified by the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association and whether they participate in the Installation Quality Certification Program. Ask the companies if they have the appropriate state and/or local licenses.
