Post Re: Online shopping tips
Hi

# Visit well known toy sites: Sites like Toys R US or KBToys, EToys, or Amazon.com are very popular choices for online shopping. Don’t forget the friendly neighborhood Walmart and Target online stores where you are more likely to get better deals. These sites also have lots of toy best seller lists to aid you in making the right decision.

# Compare prices: Search for the same toy on various different sites to find where you can get the lowest price. You’d be amazed as to how the same toy can sell for such a big price difference. Some of the smaller toy sellers also keep a lower profit margin, so their prices are lower. Walmart and Kmart are also great sites to find bargain deals. Keep in mind the shipping costs of different sites may differ, so take into account the shipping charges when you are comparing the prices.

# Validate site: Once you have found a website with lowest price in the toy you want to purchase, a good idea would be to call the telephone number listed on the site to find out whether they have the item in stock at that time. Sometimes websites do not update their day to day inventory, some pages on their site may be redundant and if by chance the toy is not available at that time, it would lead to a waste of your time and energy.

Thanks

Hello

Here’s a list of tips you should consult when shopping online. Keep it in a handy place so it will be easy to review before you order.

* Trust your instincts. If you don’t feel comfortable buying or bidding on an item over the web, or if you feel pressured to place your order immediately, maybe you shouldn’t.

* Be knowledgeable about web-based auctions. Take special care to familiarize yourself not only with the rules and policies of the auction site itself but with the legal terms (warranties, refund policy, etc.) of the seller’s items that you wish to bid on.

* Double check pricing. Whether the product is being sold as new or used, be suspicious of prices that are too good to be true. Also consider carefully whether you may be paying too much for an item, particularly if you’re bidding through an auction site. You may want to comparison shop, online or offline, before you buy.

* Review the return, refund, and shipping and handling policies as well as the other legal terms. If you can’t find them, ask the seller through an e-mail or telephone call to indicate where they are on the site or to provide them to you in writing. See Legal Terms.

* Check that the Internet connections are secure. Before you give your payment information, there are various icons and software programs that indicate that security software is in place. See Security.

* Use the safest way to pay on the Internet. Pay for your order using a credit card. See Payment.

* Print the terms. You should print out and date a copy of terms, conditions, warranties, item description, company information, even confirming e-mails, and save them with your records of your purchase. See Recordkeeping.

Thanks

1. You should stay away from online coupon websites that ask you for your personal information so as to print your discount coupon. Because you have a chance to get 100 of spam mails fro each discount coupon they give.

2. Keep away from discount coupon sites that have too many pop ups attached to it since they are annoying and can download viruses to freeze your computer.

3. Online printable coupons and coupon codes are free, so do not think of paying to any of the online coupon sites who provide you with these coupons.

4. Many websites offer freebies or deals which you may find irresistible but remember that there is nothing wrong in freebies but you should be vigilant and not naive. Don’t waste your time in idiotic scams.

5. Never complete online surveys to get free stuff or discount coupon codes unless they are from any of the reputable companies.

* A company might have a great website, but that doesn't mean it's law-abiding.
* Make sure you know the trader's full address - especially if the company is based outside the UK. The internet makes buying from abroad easy so it’s important you know your rights.
* Don't assume an internet company is based in the UK just because its web address has 'uk' in it - check out the physical address and phone number.
* Take into account the shipping, postage and packing costs. Weigh them up against the parking and travelling costs you would have to pay if you went to the high street.
* Although shopping from overseas websites is relatively safe it may be difficult to enforce your contract if things go wrong. If the item or service is over £100 then consider paying by credit card.
* Look for websites that have a secure way of paying (known as an encryption facility) - these show a padlock at the bottom of the screen when you are filling in the payment details.
* Check whether the company has a privacy statement that tells you what it will do with your personal information.

Hello

In order to exploit the full shopping potential of the internet, it is necessary to take some precautionary measures and follow a few pointers and online shopping tips as listed below for a smooth online shopping experience.

1. The power of search: Search the internet for the best toys. Use the net as a tool to make the right toy choice. For example, if you are shopping for toys for babies, you can use a search engine like Yahoo or Google to search for the phrase “best baby toys”. Look through the results obtained which will point you in the right direction. Vary the search phrase for example, instead of typing “best baby toys” you could try “popular baby toys” for a whole new set of results.

2. Safe and Sound: Do your homework on the toy you have chosen. You can find safety information on the toy you want to get different sites which is the Consumer Safety Site to find out if your toy is included in the hazardous toy lists published there.

3. Visit well known toy sites: Sites like Toys R US or KBToys, EToys, or Amazon.com are very popular choices for online shopping. Don’t forget the friendly neighborhood Walmart and Target online stores where you are more likely to get better deals. These sites also have lots of toy best seller lists to aid you in making the right decision.

4. Compare prices: Search for the same toy on various different sites to find where you can get the lowest price. You’d be amazed as to how the same toy can sell for such a big price difference. 5. Sometimes websites do not update their day to day inventory, some pages on their site may be redundant and if by chance the toy is not available at that time, it would lead to a waste of your time and energy.

Online Shopping made easy

Here are a few tips to help you use the new and improved JK website... we know you will love it as much as we do! There is now more than one way to shop online and with the new direct links and advanced search it is easier than ever before. When you set up an online account, this will be in addition to your store account if you have one. Please contact or call Customer Services before placing an order so we can link the two accounts.

1. Quickshop - The Quickshop function is brand new to the JK website and a very efficient way to shop. Simply click on "Shop by Department" and select the "Quickshop" option then follow the simple steps for the quickest way to shop for JK!

2. Advanced Search - If you are looking for something specific and don't feel like browsing a whole department simply click on our Advanced Search on the bottom right of the homepage and fill in the search details.

The more refined your criteria is the more refined the product options will be. You no longer have to browse every pair of pants to find that pair of size 3 cropped leggings; we do the browsing for you and only give you what you want!

3. Keyword / Style Number search - If you already know what you would like to purchase and have your selected product numbers from the catalogue, you can use the Keyword / Style Number search on the bottom right of the homepage to search for a specific product.

Once the product you searched for pops up on screen and you select the size and colour you want it's only one click of the mouse and you are at the checkout. It's that easy!

4. Zoom Function -The zoom function is brand new to the JK website and lets you take a closer look at all those great prints, embroideries and important little details that make our clothes stand out from the rest!

To zoom in simply move your mouse over the image and off again to continue your online shopping. This way you will make sure that what you order is exactly what you were looking for - no surprises!

5. Shopping by Department - You will notice at the top of the homepage we have all the collection names as per usual (NEWBORN/BABY, GIRLS, BOYS, MATERNITY) but now if you hover your mouse over the collection title you can simply choose the category you wish to shop from and head straight there.

When browsing through virtual shopping aisles, be sure to use:
A secure password. When setting up an account at an online store, don't pick everyday words, family member names, or birthdates. Instead, use combinations of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Also, keep passwords unique from account to account.
A secure checkout and payment process. Make sure the online store uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which encrypts sensitive information. Look for the locked padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window to see if you're protected.
