Benefits of small laptop
Hello friends, welcome to the forums.
Small laptop computers can be very handy because of their size. I myself bought a Asus laptop which is literally half the size of a standard one about a year ago. They cost only two thirds of the price and in my opinion are just as good as their larger counter partners.
I bought it originally because I was going travelling at the time and wanted something small and light that I could take with me. I found it so useful that I just decided to keep using it even once I got back home. In fact, I like using them more just because of how easy they are to transport.
To give you a idea, I never used to take my big laptop to work with me because it would just get in the way. But now I can easily take my small one with me everyday with absolutely no hassle at all. I can just pick it up and out it in the car and carry it in with me everyday.
I own a Asus EEE PC which I decided to buy because of it's great reviews on Intellreview. It's absolutely great I can get over 9 hours out of the battery without having it plugged into the mains! On my old large Toshiba I could only get 1 hours tops if I was only doing very light tasks like reading articles and had my sound off and brightness down.
It uses Linux operating system which is very fast but does have a bit of a learning curve. I'm told that you can in fact switch it so that it uses the Windows operating system quite easily but I have been very happy with it up to now.
Overall, I find the small laptops are far better for many reasons and if your going to be doing a lot of travelling or moving from one place to the next, then it's the way to go.
Thanks

Re: Benefits of small laptop
Small laptops are designed for portability. They’re a laptop perfect for the business professional who wants to get some extra work done on the way to the office. Small laptops are for the blogger who needs to let their thoughts roam free on the internet immediately. Small laptops are for the journalist, filing a story straight from the scene. These are just three examples of people who would benefit from small laptops. Imagine trying to work on the bus or train with an 18-inch, three kilogram laptop. It would not be feasible. Aside from resting your laptop on the knee of the person next to you, there’s also the issue of travelling with a laptop that weighs nearly as much as you do. Hardly handy.
As the name suggests, small laptops never have this problem. Lightweight and compact, they’re computers designed for work and play on the go. With some small laptops measuring the same size as a book, it’s never a problem to take your work with you. Small laptops are the ideal companion for business professionals, allowing them to work on the go wherever they are.

Re: Benefits of small laptop
Hi Just about as many homes today have computers as televisions and nearly all businesses are online. With the dawning and advancement of the computer age has come the inevitable shrinking and mobilization of computers. It's just the nature of technology, the same thing happened with telephones. Just like cell phones have become more popular than landlines, laptop computers are becoming more popular than desktop computers. There are several reasons for the laptop popularity.
Mobile people need mobile computers. If you, or your employees, have to spend much time traveling, it is impossible to work from a desktop computer that is stationary. By using a laptop, however, work can be done from virtually anywhere and work requiring the use of the internet can be done anywhere there is a wireless signal. Mobile technology is just as important in computing as it is in communications. Think of how lost you would be if you were still tied to a landline all of the time. The desktop computer is analogous to a landline telephone that is attached to a wall.

Hi
A laptop can be used in places where a desktop PC can't which means you can use your time more productively. For example, office workers can tackle emails during the commute to the office with a laptop at hand and students can work on coursework at the university coffee shop during a break between lectures. If you work from home then a laptop computer allows you to move your office outside on sunny days.

Re: Benefits of small laptop
Hi
Though often a secondary consideration or advantage, the 10" laptop also has the capability of being used fairly unobtrusively, especially considering what other laptop models look like on a desk or table. Therefore, it may be an ideal choice for those who want to take it to a class or use it in a business meeting. It will not attract the attention other models may, except that many may be curious of its small size.
While the 10" laptop may not be a good choice for those who want to display things to other people, this is easily remedied through the use of a projector system. In fact, the little machines will often perform very well as presentation machines. In these cases, size does not really matter as most of the work will be done by the projector. Some people may even choose a larger computer on which to create the presentation, then transfer it to a 10" laptop for transport and display.
Thanks

Re: Benefits of small laptop
Hi
1. Size: As far as a computer is concerned, size does matter. The smaller the laptop, the easier it is to take to different places. These days when the life is on the fast track, laptops are very important for a person who travels a lot or needs to be connected very often. The small size of laptops make them to be used anywhere by carrying hem around.
2. Weight: The lesser the weight of the laptop, the better it is for people who are usually on the move. The cost of the laptop may increase as the size and weight of the laptop decrease, but it is better to purchase a good one that is light that purchase a laptop that weighs like a desktop.
3. Capacity: Thought the laptop has the advantages of being light and can be carried around, the capacity of the laptop and the various features are not diminished. This is because of the smaller components used in the laptops that allow for all the features and the capacity to be maintained in the small space.
4. Travel: The laptop can be easily carried to various places for business purposes where people may need to make presentations. This gives the laptop an edge, because the individual does not need to carry a storage device and search for a computer in the place where they go to make a presentation.
Thanks
