Is There Ink Left In A Dead Printer Cartridge?
With even compatible ink cartridges incurring a significant cost relative to the initial purchase price of an inkjet printer, getting the most out of your inkjet printer could save you serious amounts of money. However, there are probably some ink saving tips that you’re completely unaware of, which might just save you a packet!
For example, even as printer cartridges claim to be empty there is often days or even weeks left of usage available from them, which means that it is often not cost-effective to throw out your ink cartridges, even if your printer is telling you that there isn’t any ink left!
Of course this discrepancy between what your printer is telling you and actual ink levels varies depending on printer models, and reports have suggested that branded printer cartridges often claim to be empty even if there is 40 per cent of the ink left in the cartridge.
Whilst supposing that a cartridge is empty when it isn’t might seem a little arbitrary if not even deceptive, there are reasons for it; for example, a completely empty cartridge does have the potential to seriously damage a printer.
Therefore whilst it may be a good idea to get a few extra prints out of that “empty” cartridge, you shouldn't get too carried away, as eventually you could endanger your printer. Luckily when you do run out, you at Prink you can find loads of compatible ink cartridges at great prices!
