Nowadays, consumers are spoiled for choice - and this choice even extends to printer cartridges. This has obvious advantages, as it allows a consumer to shop around for the best quality compatible and branded printer cartridges. However, with great choice often comes a level of ambiguity; and with this in mind which is better, branded or compatible ink cartridges?

Branded Cartridges

With branded printer ink cartridges you are buying into quality. By opting for branded, you can be pretty safe in the knowledge that your ink cartridges will be high performance. However, naturally a branded product will come at a premium price and therefore by opting for branded printer ink cartridges you are not necessarily getting the best value for money.

Compatible Cartridges

You might assume that a remanufactured or compatible ink cartridge will represent an inferior quality when compared to branded products. This is not necessarily the case, and by buying from a quality merchant such as Prink then you’re pretty much guaranteed a high quality product. Also, compatible ink cartridges will be cheaper than branded products and you may even get a higher level of ink!

Of course when buying compatible cartridges you should ensure that they work in your particular brand of printer – and therefore you need to look, for example, for HP printer cartridges or Dell ink cartridges.
