Post Re: Can men wear UGG Boots?
There is still a general consensus that men cannot wear UGG boots, as many surveys have shown. If you are out and about and happen to spy a man wearing these boots, you might be slightly taken aback! Many men do not feel confident enough to wear UGG boots, despite there being many styles available for men. The UGG boot should be perfectly suited to both men and women, yet it might take a little longer for men to feel "accepted" in the world of UGG boots.

Embrace the UGG fashion!
So why is this? It's not as though it is illegal for men to wear UGG boots, but perhaps they just don't appeal to them. With so many women seen in them, perhaps they are now permanently associated with feminine fashion.

Similar to Birkenstocks...
A similar thing happened with Birkenstock sandals. They were generally thought of as women's shoes, and then the odd celebrity emerged wearing them, including TV and Radio presenter Vernon Kay. Initially, he was mocked for his choice of footwear but men of all ages gradually started embracing the idea of Birkenstocks after Vernon Kay was seen in them. Sometimes, all it takes is a celebrity to wear the brand and it can change the public perception.

The Perfect Choice
UGG boots are such a classic boot that it almost seems a shame that some men are made to feel like they can't wear them. The warm, cosy sheepskin lined boots are the perfect winter warmers, and it is safe to say that UGG has a sufficient majority of the winter footwear market. However, the beauty of UGG boots is not just that they are practical, but they also look great too. With a variety of colours and accents, UGG boots are the perfect choice for women who want to be at the height of fashion. It seems only logical then that men should be able to look just as hot in these boots, but society doesn't seem to be allowing it.

Men and women of all ages should be able to wear UGG boots, so maybe over time people will begin to accept men wearing them.
