Post Re: Choosing clothes for your new baby
A very important consideration in choosing baby clothes is their ease of care. Always look at the care labels while you are still in the store, and ensure that the item is machine washable, without any special restrictions regarding detergents, bleaches, or fabric softeners. It is unlikely you will come across any baby clothes which require dry cleaning, but you always want to be sure.

Cotton is, without doubt, the fabric of choice for baby clothing for the reasons mentioned above. However, cotton does have a bad tendency to shrink when washed in hot water. Your baby will outgrow her clothes quickly enough, so items that contain a blend of cotton and other, non-shrinking, fibres may be acceptable. It is best to keep the cotton as the predominant fabric though.

In choosing a pram, first of all you need to make a decision as to what features you want. This question should lead you to think long and hard of your specifications and requirements for your desired baby transporter.

Once you have come up with a list of specifications, look for a brand from the manufacturer of prams that meets your specifications and research the quality and durability of it. Visit shops that sell them, check out online reviews - from customers not those who are trying to sell them.

If you’re an outdoor person and intend to use your pram for strolls in the park often, then choose a sturdy model or brand with larger wheels that may handle uneven pavements and paths well. If you think you are going to take your baby transporter along to the shopping centre and or on shopping trips with the girls, then select a brand that is more compact with smaller wheels. Weight is also a factor in purchasing a baby pram. Remember that it’s not easy pushing or dragging a heavy one.

Additionally, is the purchased pram going to be used by your baby when he/she grows slightly older or when still a toddler? It is important to note the age factor for practicality. Make sure that it fits in your car because some fit in only when their wheels are removed or folded.

You may also choose to get a bassinet or carrycot as an extra measure of comfort and protection for your baby; allowing it to lie down and rest gracefully without a harness. Another purpose of bassinets is that they can be used as portable bed when strolling in the park, on holiday or around the home.

Baby transporters have many designs to suite your tastes and preferences. For instance, if you want to see your baby as you push him or her around the park, then you may want to go for a type with a window cover. Unfortunately, this feature comes at a higher cost, but is worth the extra..

If you want one with swivel wheels and reversible handle, make sure these features work. Try pushing it around the store with the handles in both positions, check to see if you can lock the swivel wheels easily into position.

Only buy when you are totally satisfied with your choice. Your baby will spend a lot of time in it's pram so it is worth taking your time to make the right decision.
