Post Shopping Tips for Teens
1. Shop by yourself or bring along a totally trusted, stylish friend (or your oh-so fashionable mom, in my case!)
2. Use the three-way mirror. What may look fabulous from the front could look totally drab from the back.
3. Dress/beautify for shopping so you don't look like a troll in the mirrors. Stick with your everyday makeup and jewelry.
4. Set a budget and don't budge!
5. Yeah, you're a junior: so what? If you wear a size 4 or smaller, try shopping in Girls' departments. For all sizes, the Boys' dept. has fabulous basics: tees, buttondowns, sweaters, etc.
6. Try a new store each time at the mall and shop out of your price range (under or over ) to find new looks.
7. Touch, touch touch. Garmentos judge an item by it's "feel."
8. Always try on and makeno exceptions.
9. Don't be in a hurry: allot enough time.
10. Make sure you have on the right undergarments, especially for formal dresses, camisoles, etc.

Post Re: Shopping Tips for Teens
Never is shopping for plus size clothing more problematic than when you are a teenager. Though more and more manufacturers are beginning to create plus size fashion lines, the majority of them seem far out of touch with the styles that attract youth. Simply put, the plus size offerings of major department stores are designed more for your parents’ generation than yours; there is rarely anything both comfortable and cute available for you.

However, with a few shopping tips and a little know-how, finding that perfect outfit – and more importantly, building that perfect wardrobe – can be an achievable goal. The key to looking good daily is knowing where to turn to find fun and stylish plus size clothing and also knowing how to strategically build a wardrobe based on classic, well-fitting and versatile items.
The first part of your challenge is to find good, reliable suppliers for well-made and fashionable teen clothing in a range of sizes.

Though department stores are an obvious choice, their selections tend to target an older age group; check instead for specialty plus size clothing boutiques. Though some of the specialty stores will still target older generations, be thorough when checking them out; sometimes un-stylish window displays are hiding fun and functional clothing for teens within the store. Also try to get on mailing lists from plus size stores.

Many retail shops fail to carry their entire inventory and you may find that they have clothing you like in their catalogs. Online and mail-order only companies are also an option. Prices can sometimes be less since companies employ fewer people and do not pay for a retail space. Make sure to order only from companies with good reputations and a solid return policy in case you dislike any items you have ordered.
