Post Green jewelry
Green jewelry is jewelry made in a more sustainable manner than most jewelry available. The market for sustainable jewelry has grown over the past few years as people pay more attention to where what they're buying has come from.

Green Jewelry

1. Green jewelry can be just about any type of jewelry--necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets, anklets and more. Ask your favorite jeweler if she carries green jewelry.

Reclaimed Materials
2. Metals used in green jewelry are not mined destructively as jewelry made with new gold, silver and other precious metals is. The metals are repurposed from other uses, refined and forged into a form a jeweler can work with.

Reclaimed Copper
3. This could be in your next necklace.

Sustainable copper jewelry comes from electrical wire and pipes, among other things.

Reclaimed Siler and Gold
4. These old spoons could be repurposed into earrings and bracelets.

Silver can be reclaimed from old silverware or broken jewelry. Gold is also reclaimed from old jewelry and other applications for green jewelry.

Green or Socially Responsible Stones
5. Green-sourced gems come from socially responsible importers.

Green and socially responsible jewelry is as beautiful as are pieces made from non-sustainable practices. Stones used in green jewelry can have an inspiring story to rival the beauty of the piece.

Certification of Green Jewelry
6. Numerous organizations certify that jewels in green jewelry come from sustainable and socially responsible sources, using fair trade practices. Among them are the Responsible Jewellery Council (which is part of the United Nations Global Compact), Fair Trade Jewelry and The Clarity Project.

Post Re: Green jewelry
Green, the color of Earth, has been known to contain the powerful energies of nature. Green attracts wealth, luck and money to its owner. Green jewelry promotes growth and order, which are necessary for any sort of transformation or change you are about to undergo in your life. With its ability to stabilize the mind and promote kindness, green jewelry is one of our most popular items.

When to go green:

* When you are going through an emotional transition

* Are in need of change and growth

* Need a creative spark

* Alleviate anxiety, fear, and depression
