Types of dog collars and leads to choose from
There are plenty of types of dog collars and leads available, and all have their own advantages. You can get dog collars made out of natural or synthetic materials, or perhaps leather dog collars for that little something extra. Leather dog collars are probably one of the most expensive kinds of dog collars available, but if you’re looking for quality then they could definitely be the way to go.
If leather dog collars aren’t for you then you might want to try dog collars with studs, designs, or even those with your favourite football team emblazoned across them, letting your dog get in on the action.
When it comes to dog leads, there are again a variety of options to suit all preferences. You can get dog leads made out of a whole range of materials, and you can even get retractable dog leads allowing your dog to run ahead while still being under control.
For extra support and peace of mind, you might want to consider dog harnesses as well. A lot of people prefer dog harnesses as they give the dog extra support around its body, and it also means that if they’re straining at the lead they’re not going to hurt their necks as in a dog harness the weight is spread out rather than localised.
