Tips on How To Advertise, Cheap!
1.Advertising is expensive, so know why you are advertising and what you want to accomplish. Evaluate your advertising carefully and measure its effectiveness. 2.Develop appropriate sales promotion tools such as flyers, brochures and signs. Carefully review each item for its effectiveness and evaluate what these tools say about your business. 3.Signage should be a major part of your marketing strategy. Signs are a vital part of small businesses and can be the most efficient, effective and consistent device for generating revenue. 4.Every small business should be listed under the appropriate heading in the Yellow Pages, but not every business needs to buy expensive display ads. Be judicious. 5.Get involved in your community. Join the chamber of commerce, business organizations, service clubs, and charities. Network yourself and keep your antennae up.

In order to get the word out to potential customers, almost every business engages in some form of advertising. While some popular forms of advertising, such as television, magazine and radio ads, are quite expensive, there are also a number of far cheaper, and often unconventional, ways of marketing a company.
Social Networking # Many businesses will start pages on social networking sites, such as Facebook and MySpace. Customers can then add them as friends, allowing the company to become known to a new circle of potential clients.
Word of Mouth # One of the oldest methods of cheap advertising is word of mouth. Word of mouth can take two main forms: the organic method, in which the company's employees talk up their product or service to friends and family and hope the word spreads; or the "seeding" method, in which a company pays people to drop the word, often in crowded public venues, such as bars or nightclubs.
Niche Publications # While mass advertising is expensive, many companies that know their clientele well will attempt to reach them by advertising in low-circulation niche publications. For example, a company that manufactures bass fishing lures may take out an ad in the magazine Bass Champion News.
Use The Media # Often, the media can provide a terrific free source of advertising by offering mentions of a company in their stories. Try to attract a publication or show's interest by building a compelling narrative around your company that would be of local, regional or even national interest.
Use Existing Customers To Bring In New Ones # Many companies will use their own customers to market them by offering promotions in which the existing customer receives a discount or other reward for referring new clients. This promotes loyalty among current customers and encourages them to spread the word to associates.
