IP/Network CCTV Cameras
A network or IP (Internet Protocol) camera is similar in form and function to an analogue surveillance camera in that it captures and sends live video streams. The difference being network cameras transport live video streams via digital packets across an IP network such as a LAN (Local Area Network) or the Internet. Because network cameras are on an IP network, the video streams can be accessed and stored remotely. This enables users to view and/or manage the network camera using a standard Web browser or video management software from different locations, giving businesses increased flexibility.

Re: IP/Network CCTV Cameras
An IP camera which is also referred to as a network camera can be thought of as a computer and a camera that is combined into one unit. IP cams as there also know capture clips and transmit the live images via internet protocol networks which enable authorized users either locally or remotely to store, manage and view the video. The great thing about a network camera is its versatility. You can have a wireless ip camera a fixed camera, and they even come in outdoor camera models.

Re: IP/Network CCTV Cameras
IP-Surveillance solutions have emerged as an attractive alternative to the DVR as it provides a bridge to enter the digital world with the ultimate solution of a high-performance, low-cost digital video surveillance and monitoring. In this paper, we will provide a guide for the end user who is interested in making the transition from a current analog system to a digital one. We’ll demonstrate how this move can be undertaken in a progressive, step-by-step manner and review the many benefits that come from implementing digital technology.Implementing a digital system does not require throwing away those trusted (and already paid-for) cameras. With IP-Surveillance, you can still use all the cameras, lenses, and cables in place through this step-by-step migration to digital technology. And if this is not enough reason to seriously consider an upgrade, examine the TLV, or time-lapse video, recording component. These systems are highly labor intensive because of the need to change tapes and perform system maintenance. Tape wear and tear is an ever-present problem. Furthermore, the actual quality of the images recorded is often unsatisfactory, particularly if used for official investigations. With the introduction of digital video recorder (DVR) technology, the storage media are no longer dependent on operator intervention or tape quality. And with IP-Surveillance technology,
