Boost Your Business With On Hold Marketing
There are literally thousands of ways to promote your business, and one recent innovation is audio marketing. Even if you haven’t heard of this term, you will more than likely have come across is on hold marketing when you phone a company or organisation.
It is essentially a combination of voice and music which is designed to both entertain and inform your customers when they call you and are waiting to be transferred to the relevant department. By using on hold marketing you can update the messages at regular intervals, and research has found that this form of audio marketing is welcomed by callers.
It’s certainly a huge improvement on the old Greensleeves tune which seemed to be played no matter which company you called and were then put on hold!
One way to look at on hold marketing is to think of it as a way to get your message across to what is effectively a captive audience. While your customers are waiting to be attended to, you can inform them about new promotions and any other offers you have planned.
Believe it or not, there are still companies out there who don’t have any sound on their business phone lines when their customers are put on hold. The customer is left hanging, unsure whether they have been cut off, which can be frustrating. By using the right form of audio marketing, you can not only get your message across during this time on your business phone lines, but also reassure the customer that they will soon be dealt with.
