France is the most popular ski destination for Brits, and caters for skiers at all levels.

If you are looking into ski holidays here, there are essentially two types of accommodation – apartments and chalets. In France, apartments are often referred to as ‘boxes’. Piled on top of each other into concrete apartment blocks, this type of ski accommodation can be cheap, but is purely functional.

You can also choose from a vast selection of private chalets. These can vary in quality but tend to be more roomy and comfortable, and built attractively in the traditional style. They may be in outlying villages, although are often located right by the piste.

Ski chalets will have any number of beds from two to 25. Because competition is strong, you get value for money.

At The Chalet Experience, we have four catered chalets in the French skiing village of Les Gets, sleeping up to 24 people. All are right on the slopes or have courtesy transport to the lifts provided.
