Post Do you have to be Super-fit to Ski?
At The Chalet Experience we offer fabulous chalet holidays for all types of skier, from advanced solo skiers to groups of inexperienced skiers. It is therefore the case that you really don’t have to be super-fit and super-experienced to get a lot out of our ski holidays. However, it would be disingenuous to suggest that potential skiers wouldn’t benefit from regular exercise, and just a little increase in fitness pre your holiday can go a long way en-piste.

Of course no-ones suggesting that ski holidays will require the same level of training as, for example, a marathon; just by increasing your cardiovascular fitness levels prior to your holiday, you can ensure that you’re not left in the snow dust by more practised skiers.

With this in mind, regular jogging – which will always be a good idea – in the weeks prior to your ski holidays will give you an edge when it comes to hitting the slopes, and will ensure that you get the most out of your ski experience and do not succumb to exhaustion en-piste.

An even better idea is to hit one of the many dry slopes that the UK has to offer prior to your ski holidays, as not only will this increase your general fitness but it will always strengthen the particular muscles that you will be suing on the slops, as well as affording you with some practice that might just prevent serious injury down the line!
