The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Travelling By Plane
An important issue of our society is the safety and comfort of our means of travelling. Unlike air travel, which is regulated internationally, rail travel is mainly controlled nationally, and therefore its degree of safety is greater.
For example in the USA and the UK the death average is of about ten passengers per year. It is well known that airplanes are more comfortable than trains and the time of a trip is also shorter, but the risk of accidents is very high. We all watch the TV news and each day something bad happens to an airplane in the USA, UK, France or even Romania. Once the airplane is in the air it is very difficult to have full control over it and, thus many undesirable things can occur. And here it's the case of the airplanes which are detonated by
groups of terorists, who put the lives of the passengers in danger, as it happened in the attacks in the USA, when American and forein airplanes were made to hit major institutions of the state and as a consequence, lots of people were killed.
On the other hand, accidents do occur on rails, mainly because of human errors or controlling and responding signals. Recent improvements in the computerised equipment made possible for the numeber of rail accidents to diminish.
In what concerns the financial aspect, everybody knows how expensive airplane tickets are and if you want to travel by airplane you have to save some money in advance. This happens mainly in our country, where the difference between prices is quite significant, but in other European states and in the USA , the tickets have similar prices.
To conclude, each means of transport has its advantages and disadvantages and when you have to take a trip you should always think first at your comfort and safety and decide what suits you the most.

Re: The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Travelling By Plane
I think there are more advantages than disadvantages of traveling by plane, because, firstly this is the fastest way to reach far away in short time. Traveling by plane is safer than if you travel by car, train, bicycle, whatever ( according to the statistics). There are special fares, sales and you could book your e-ticket at low price (that's real advantage). And you can feel you a bird or something, watching into the porthole, that's amazing!
Disadvantages, the prices, sometimes are very high. You need to wait for long time, stand in lines, procedure is complicated due to security issues. During long hole flights you cannot relax, most of the time have to be seated and fastened. Usually not comfortable economy class (depends of air company). Not comfortable restrooms. Bumpy happens due to turbulence. Some people is sick when a plane is taking off/landing. When crush (awful) usually a lot of victims. Source(s): personnel.

Re: The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Travelling By Plane
When traveling over land there are three main ways of doing so, a flight, a train ride, or driving yourself. I guess you could walk or run but, I’m talking about cross country travel. There are expensive and inexpensive ways of travel, some fast, some slow, most fun, others boring. Out of these three ways you must decide how you want to go baste on your budget, time, and the quality of travel you prefer.
The fastest way of travel would be by plane. If time is a major issue, a flight would be the best mode of transportation for you. A flight can also be easier to schedule, there are hundreds of flights leaving every half-hour, in every direction from and to almost every airport in the world. Besides being fast and convenient, studies have shown it’s also safer. Statistics show air travel as one of the safest ways to travel, baste on its passenger to crash ratio. The down fall is a flight is also the most expensive way to travel out of the three. A flight from California to New York (round trip) could cost anywhere from $500.00 to $2,500.00+, depending on which class (or section) you purchase your ticket for. On most commercial planes there are three sections of seating, where you sit depends on your willingness to pay. There’s first class; which is very luxurious. This is the most expensive section to sit in. It has more leg room, larger and softer chairs, better service, and hand prepared meals instead of the processed food the rest of the plane gets. Next is coach or business class; which is the middle section, it’s somewhat luxurious. You get some leg room, descent service but, you still get processed food. For anyone who wants real food better spend a little extra money and fly first class.

Re: The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Travelling By Plane
Flying has it’s upsides and unfortunately, it’s going to have it’s downsides as well. If you’ve ever wondered what the upsides and downsides to travel are, I’ve created a pretty easy going list that will help you determine if you want to fly because let’s face it, everyone isn’t fit for flying.
The Advantages of Flying Quick travel – Instead of hoping in the car to take that 20 hour road trip, you can cut that trip to about 2-3 hours. Some people just don’t want to travel across the country in car. If you’re a fan of driving, by all means, do it but if you don’t have the time then I would recommend you fly.
Comfort – No one likes to be at the wheel of a car for 20 hours straight. Instead of being at the wheel, why not sit back in an airline seat and listen to your favorite tunes? Some airlines are more comfortable than others. I would look into each airline and see which one you like the most when it comes to comfort..
May be cheaper – This isn’t always the case and this completely depends on where you travel. If you are travelling from Boston to Los Angeles, it’s probably going to be cheaper to fly. You have to remember that when you’re driving, you have to factor in hotels, food, gas and more.
Safer to travel – When you think of an airplane, you may not think of safety but instead, statistics show that flying in an airplane is actually safer than a car. When you really think of it, it makes sense. Think of all the people you’re driving around, the weather conditions and more. When you’re in an airplane, it’s just you and the blue skies.
The Disadvantages of Flying The airport – The airport can be a pain in the butt. From waiting in long lines to get through the security check to waiting in line for your flight, this can easily take four to five hours just to get off the ground compared to driving by car when you could already be five hours into your trip!
Delays – Not every city has great weather and if the city you’re travelling to has nasty weather, there’s going to be a delay. Sadly, sometimes these delays can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. As compared to a car, you can duke any storm that you please.
Ticket prices – I know I mentioned prices in the one above but there may be times when you may find it cheaper to travel by car. Ticket prices can be steep depending on the time you’d like to travel. Watch out for great deals if you think the price you’re paying is too much.
