Post Chalets Versus Hotels – A Few Facts
You may ask yourself, ‘what are the benefits of chalet holidays compared to staying in a hotel?’ but for those who choose to stay in chalets, there is no doubt about what the benefits are. For example, if you have a family of four or more, staying in chalets gives you a big saving immediately. In a hotel, you would have to book two rooms for the duration of your holiday, which will cost you an arm and a leg before you’ve even started!

This is a major plus for families, but there is another aspect which makes chalet holidays attractive. You have complete independence when you stay in chalets, which means you can prepare and cook meals when it suits you, not when it suits the hotel. This both saves you money, and allows you to plan your days accordingly. Another big benefit of renting chalets is that they have much more space than a standard hotel room. This will be really important if the weather is poor for a few days as it means you will be able to keep the kids entertained with whatever games you have brought with you.

There is likely to be a large living room area where you and your family can play games together, watch television or simply chill out and read a book. Depending on the location, you may have superb views from the windows, so you can just sit and enjoy the panorama. Remember, ski holidays don’t have to be about being active all the time, so make time to relax as well as having some outdoor fun.

Hello
The hotel has a strange design, there can't be much of a view from most apartments as the majority face inwards in a kind of 'U' shape. It's an old place, it was deserted and run down last time I was in Desaru and stayed at the Pulai nearby (just over 2 years ago) but the Lotus people have taken it over and they're in the process of getting it up and running again.

The room was OK, we had a 2 bedroom apartment (I believe they're all apartments) and it had apartment amenities (fridge, kettle, microwave etc), the beds were comfortable & it was clean despite not being particularly modern or fancy looking inside. It had two balconies but no chairs to sit on out there (they said they don't put them there for child safety reasons).

There are 2 swimming pools and a water park which our children enjoyed with a big slide and lots of smaller slides and fountains. There are proposed works - a spa, a tropical garden and some big slides to be built going into one of the other pools. For the next 6-12 months there could be some building work going on.
