Which beautiful island to live on??
I'd really like to move out to somewhere with beautiful beaches and friendly natives. I've lived in central London for the past 13+ years and am finding it all a bit soulless (and cold!). I've enjoyed the time I've spent travelling in Asia and Fiji etc, especially when I get off the beaten track. I'd really like to go somewhere that is beautiful and sunny (I'm a real sun-bunny - can't stand being cold!).
Can anyone suggest where I should head for? My priorities are:
- beautiful beaches and scenery - cheap standard of living. don't need anything flash but would need running water etc. - healthy living - lots of fresh fish, fruit and veg - decent medical care if needed - friendly locals - work or business opportunities (I don't mind teaching, and have a lot of skills in business/admin/hr etc). Happy to run own business and think I'd do really well. - Can get to "civilisation" once a quarter if needed
All suggestions would be really helpful! I've got a British passport and haven't got any money but could probably save a few grand if needed.
I have a partner who is willing to move as well, he's in packaging design but also would be happy to run own business. He's a grafter like me.
Thanks!

if you say sunny, it must be somewhere in the equator. See the map, and there are Indonesia, Thailand, Phils, Malaysia, Singapore, Latin America, etc, etc.
Well, my personal favorite is Ambon island.

Hello
Going for a holiday in the beautiful city of Singapore? Don't know where to stay? What to do and where to shop? Singapore is definitely a wonderful place to experience a variety of cultures, food and shopping.
But the truth is, if you're going to Singapore for the first time, you should definitely do some homework to ensure you make the most of your trip.
That's where this website comes in. I live in Singapore and one thing I've realized is this - there is a lack of quality websites on Singapore. What kind of people live there? What exotic places can you visit? I've tried to write many articles about this country so you can get all the information you need in one place.

During holidays, I prefer to visit to Jamaica because it is one place where we feel relax and comfortable. The locals are very hospitable and courteous. We have been there several times during summer season and always have stress-free trip experience. Moreover, the hotels and restaurants prices are affordable and have amenities as well.
Best Regards,

Hello
I recommend the island Hvar - an Croatian island...
You do not really have sand beaches there, but therefore the water is very very blue...The living standard is quite cheap, you are able to get lovely houses and the people are incredibly nice...
Thanks

Re: Which beautiful island to live on??
Hi
Isla Mujeres – this is a lovely tropical island just off the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico, and combines the vibrancy and joy de vivre of South America with the exotic white beaches and crystal waters of the Caribbean. If you enjoy fishing and diving then this is the ideal place for you as it has some of the cleanest, most abundant waters along the Riviera Maya. The island is also only 8 miles away from the hustle and bustle of Cancún, so when you tire of swinging lazily in your hammock you can pop back to the mainland for a bit of shopping or a wild night out on the town. Isla Mujeres is only 5 miles long and still has some wonderfully unspoilt areas, and property prices are still relatively low compared to other Caribbean island destinations. You should buy soon though as the charms of this small island are attracting new visitors all the time and property prices are beginning to slowly rise.
Thanks

Re: Which beautiful island to live on??
Hello
This tiny island off the Yucatán Peninsula blends the soul of Mexico with the beaches of the Caribbean. This is a hammock-swinging lifestyle, peppered with Mayan legends.Only eight miles from hyperactive Cancún, Isla Mujeres is a throwback to Mexico’s more innocent days, a time when you might have driven a VW bus down the Yucatán Peninsula, slept beneath a million stars and cooked fish tacos over an open fire. Isla, as it is known, is a casual place that has added a few conveniences without sacrificing its Mexican soul. You can still wander sandy, unpaved roads into villages where fishermen are mending their nets. Hammocks take the place of beds in colorful, Caribbean-style casas; and to get from point A to B, the preferred transport is by golf cart .... After all the island is only five miles long.Offshore is a wild blue yonder with some of the best diving and fishing along the Riviera Maya. On Playa Norte, the water is blue enough to make the sky look pale. On the south side of the island are Mayan ruins and nearby the most touristed touch of all: El Garrafón, a water park that shovels in the tourists off cruise ships. But after the ships have departed, the town slumbers under its coconut palms.
