Treatment for Tooth Pain
When you contact your dentist regarding your tooth pain, it's important that you be as thorough as you can in your explanation of the pain—how severe it is, when you feel it, where it's located, and whether any conditions make it better or worse. That way, your Houston dentist will have a sense as to the urgency of your problem.
Symptom You feel a sharp pain when you bite down. Cause Decay, a cracked tooth, or a loose filling can cause sharp pain in your tooth when you bite. You could also have an dental infection inside the pulp layer of your tooth; this is where the nerve exists. Solution A dentist should evaluate the tooth that's causing your discomfort to determine the source of the pain. If you have an infection within the pulp of your tooth, you will need root canal therapy to remove the infected tissue and seal off the space to prevent further infection.

Re: Treatment for Tooth Pain
Hi guys
"Toothache" is pain typically around a tooth, teeth or jaws. In most instances, toothaches are caused by a dental problem, such as a dental cavity, a cracked or fractured tooth, an exposed tooth root, or gum disease.Sometimes diseases of the jaw joint (temporomandibular joint), or spasms of the muscles used for chewing can cause toothache like symptoms. The severity of a toothache can range from chronic and mild to sharp and excruciating. It can be a dull ache or intense. The pain may be aggravated by chewing or by thermal foods and liquids which are cold or hot. A thorough oral examination, proper tooth testing and evaluation, along with appropriate dental x-rays, can help determine the cause. What we want to know is whether the toothache is really coming from a tooth or somewhere else.
Thanks

Re: Treatment for Tooth Pain
Hi friends,
It is important to restrict one's sugar intake, and to ensure that the diet includes plenty of raw vegetables and wholewheat bread. Whole foods are ideal for the teeth. Fibreless refined foods allow particles to accumulate on the teeth in a sticky mass where they can do great harm. The gums need friction to keep them firm and whole foods also help remove plaque. They are therefore called 'detergent foods' by some dentists. In preventing tooth decay, what one eats is no doubt important but equally important is when one eats.
Thanks,
