Post Prune Your Mail Order Nursery Trees After They're Received
It is important to have sharp and proper pruning tools. It is best to prune branches when they are small in order for the cut to heal (seal) quicker. Hand pruners are used for branches one inch or less in diameter. The preferred hand pruner to use would be the by-pass pruners, which work like scissors and have a curved cutting blade. Anvil style pruners have a straight blade.
