Post Cutting my 1st large Hardwood
guys, I believe this is an ash, I had to cut the crotch off to make it 6.6'. I have squared it up, this was the limit for the little Silvacraft, she was a shaking pretty good on the 1st couple of cuts.
I am looking for some opinions or ideas before I cut any more.
1st is this ash? If not what is it? this is crotch I cut off with the bark showing.

So far I have some4/4 boards of this log.

I have the pith fairly well centered especially on the arrow side.
I have it squared up to 16" which looks great, but if I cut more 4/4 will they air dry straight.
is this the time to cut some 5/4, 6/4, 8/4. do I rip them down to a more manageable size say 6" or 8" wide

What would you cut it up into? I plan on retiring in 15 months so I am hoping to have some wood to work with, or sell if I can.
