Post Re: Tips for glowing skin???
WELL HYDRATED SKIN....sounds familiar but do you have it? Does hydration have anything to do with the texture of your skin?YESSSS...very much! Have you seen fresh jelly. That's hydrated.Keep the jelly outside ,it will dry up.Our skin is just like jelly,it needs proper hydration to maintain the texture. If it doesn't get proper hydration it starts getting wrinkles, dried black heads and blocked pores( that become pimples).

Is it difficult to keep skin hydrated? Maintaining skin hydration is as difficult or as easy as maintaining a balanced diet. Here are simple tips and remedies:
1. Eat fruits and raw salads daily
2.Drink a lot of water. If you wish to check how much water is just enough, then a simple way is to check if you suffer from constipation. Most of the constipation problem (not all cases) are due to not eating fruits and salad and drinking too less water.
3.Don't use towel to dry your skin. Wash your face and just let it air dry without wiping it with a towel. You will notice a visible difference in the pore size on face.Your face will become smoother and shiny.
4.Tap your face lightly all over after washing.See the video below. This helps to improve the blood circulation on your face.

The skin is a major organ of excretion. So taking care of the skin helps you to have a velvety soft skin. The old saying goes like this "Prevention is better than cure". So it is better to take care of your skin rather than treating it after a problem occurs. All you have to do is to lead a healthy life style which will definitely reflect on your skin. Keep your skin clean. A clean skin is a healthy skin. The most common problem among teens is acne. Here are some tips to take care of your skin the natural way.

1.Eat a healthy diet which should include lot of fruits, vegetables in the form of salads and fresh juices. Use honey instead of sugar for juices.

2.Avoid eating junk food which is not only bad for your skin but also for your health. Do not eat fried foods. Avoid Maida and white bread instead take brown bread, whole grains and oat bran. Use brown rice instead of white.

3.Drink 3-4 glasses of warm water the first thing in the morning which will prevent constipation and therefore will have an effect on your skin or you can take a glass of warm lemon juice with a tsp of honey.

4. Wash your face whenever you go out and come back, to remove the dirt accumulated on your skin due to pollution. Also wash it after you wake up and before going to sleep. Instead of using soap frequently, you can use flour of green gram or besan mixed with a little water to cleanse your face.

5. Use an umbrella (preferably a colored one), wear sunglasses while going out in the sun. It protects your skin from the harmful effects of the sun.

6. Have bath twice a day to keep your skin clean. It also helps to keep yourself cool.

7.Powder of orange peels (available in the market) mixed with rose water can be used to exfoliate your skin.

8.Steam your face once in a week to remove dirt from your face. You can add a few drops of eucalyptus oil or neem leaves to the water. After steaming, splash cold water on your face and pat dry. This is an effective remedy for blackheads also.

9.Steaming with juice of one lemon added to the water is also effective for blackheads and whiteheads. Take a little egg white (beat it well) and mix it with a little honey and apply it on the face and wash it off with warm water after 15 minutes. This cures blackheads.

10. Mixture of rose water, sandalwood paste and fuller's earth ( a form of clay) can be used as a face pack for oily skin. Rose water cleanses and tones the skin. Sandalwood paste has cooling properties and fuller's earth removes the dirt and excess oil from the skin.

Hi

# Powder mango peels and mix 1 teaspoon milk powder and rub on face, neck, and hands. Wash it off after 15 minutes.
# Mix one cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon fresh lemon / lime juice. While taking bath, lather your body and face heavily with a soft soap like Dove. Scrub the whole body and face with the sugar mixture on the lather.
# After a shower apply vaseline over your entire body. Shower again after one hour. Repeat twice a month.
# Mix corn (polenta) flour with egg white and apply on your face. When your face is dried completely in about 1/2 an hour, put your fingers in warm water and massage your face. Repeat daily for 10-15 days.

Thanks

1. Water: Drink plenty of water: Water serves to flush out the toxins from the body and keeps every organ in general and skin in particluar healthy. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day.

2. Balanced diet: Eat a healthy and balanced diet that has plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and salads. Avoid fried or greasy, refined and processed foods. Fast foods are a definite no-no.

3. Clean and moisturize skin daily: Make sure that you wash your face twice daily - once in the morning upon waking up and once again before retiring to bed at night. After washing use a toner and moisturizer. Toners help remove fine traces of oil, grime, dirt and any left-over make-ups after the wash. Even people with oily skin should use a moisturizer. Choose one according to your skin type (oily, normal or dry).

4. Sun blocks are a must: Over time exposure to sun can lead to wrinkles, freckles, discoloration, benign growths like moles and cancerous growths like basal, squamous cell carcinoma and melanomas. Always wear a sunblock which has a Sun Protection Factor of 15 or higher.

5. Professional help for skin problems: No one is blessed with a perfect skin. At various times in life skin can be affected by rashes, acne, it can get dry or oily and infected. Seek the help of a trained skin aesthetician at your saloon or a dermatologist for serious problems.

6. Self screening: Make it a habit to get yourself familiar with your skin and examine your skin on a daily basis to identify any suspicious spots, moles or patches that might indicate a skin cancer. Ask a relative or friend to examine those areas that are not easily accessible like the back. If you find anything suspicious consult a skin specialist immediately.

Follow these simple six steps and enjoy a blemish-free skin for life.
