In present time, everybody is suffered from stress. The word stress has been derived from the Latin word Strictus which means 'tight' or 'narrow'. In general stress means, when an individual is not able to cope the coming stimulus from the environment.
Stress can be of two types :
1.Positive and
2.negative
Stress effects an individual both ways positively or negatively.
positive stress:it is optimum amount of stress that improves the efficiency of a person.
negative stress:it has adverse effects on an individual's physiological and psychological health.It decreases concentration which ultimately lowers work efficiency.
COPING STRATEGIES : these are some strategies for coping stress.

1. talk it out.
2. laugh it out.
3. cry it out.
Ego Defense mechanisms:-
1. suppression
2.regression
3.repression
4.transformation of anger.
